When is the Firecracker 5k in Redding?
The Firecracker 5k is being put on by Signarama with the help of other sponsors like Park Marina Motors. The event will begin at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. The opening ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. followed by a ¼ mile run for kids called the Little Sparkler’s. Afterward, the 5k will begin at 8:45 a.m.

After you run or walk, there’s still some fun to be had. The run/walk will be followed by a pancake and sausage breakfast that will include a medal ceremony and live music by The Billies. The event will take place at the McConnel Arboretum in the Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

The 5k is very affordable with early registration costing just $30. This price is available until June 30. Afterward, the price goes up to $40. The ¼ mile Little Sparkler’s event has a similar deal with a pre-registration price of $15 and a late registration price of $20 after June 30.
